Market Your Business With The Power Of Facebook Using These Top Tips

You probably have quite a few family members on Facebook. Chances are your parents or even your grandparents are on Facebook as well. Having said that, are your customers also on Facebook?

Here are some top tips on how to conduct successful Facebook marketing efforts using both your Facebook profile and pages.

  1. If you are using Facebook for business, do it professionally. While social media is known for being more relaxed, your business should always come across in a professional way. People will trust and respect your business and what you have to say if you maintain a professional tone.

2. Remember the audience you already have. A shocking number of people fight to get new likes instead of catering to their current fans. Your audience must feel respected. This is very rewarding, so don’t neglect your fan base.

3. Add value and relevancy to each of your Facebook posts. In other words, your followers should get something out of each and every one of your posts, whether it is a great deal, a helpful tidbit of knowledge, or an inside scoop on the latest product. Don’t “sell” too much or you could make your followers tired of seeing you pop up in their news feed.

4. When a follower asks you a question on your wall or makes a comment, always respond. If someone goes to the effort to contact your business, you should take the time to talk with them.

  • It’s like a phone call: you would never leave it at a message left on your machine, would you?

5. Don’t think that you should update your page if what you have to say has nothing to do with your content. Only talk about stuff that will interest your target audience. Post anything of a personal nature using your individual Facebook profile.

6. Facebook is a great content sharing tool. Facebook isn’t just for chitchat, it can also be a serious content platform. Realize this. You can even use Facebook to promote your articles or blog posts. You will see that Facebook brings you a great deal of traffic!

7. Offer something that is unique when someone “Likes” your Facebook page. Likes can draw new attention to your page. Think about a good reward to offer when someone likes your page. Whether it is an individual gift or the chance to go into a draw, it will create excitement. If you give people something that they find useful, then they’ll have no problem becoming a follower of your page.

8. Facebook Offers allows you to easily and rapidly promote contests or giveaways that are offered on the website. Once the offer is ready, change it on your wall so it shows as a Promoted Post. If the offer is very good you can also promote it to those who are not fans (at least not yet).

9. Target advertisements directly to your customers by using the “custom audiences” tool. Your conversion rate will increase using this tactic and your campaign cost will lower, both of which are beneficial to you.

You likely use Facebook yourself and therefore understand what would appeal to customers. Just use the tips in this article along with your own know-how to craft a campaign that blows your customers’ socks off. You’ll get more profit if you try harder.

Hope this helps.
